another butterfly i saw yesterday. excited because i had never seen one like it in person. it drove me crazy because for the longest time it would land and not open it's wings, but finally it did and i got quite a few shots. disappointed though that it would not land on anything but the dirt or concrete edging ~ there was a pretty white butterfly bush right in this area, but no luck ~ wouldn't that have been a pretty shot.

i don't know why, but there's something i like about this shot. it's a calla lily.

just planted these pink coneflowers. the bees love them :)

ok ~ i'm ready for summer to be over ~ it's just been way too hot the last few days!!

another bee and coneflower shot :) i think i love the lensbaby.

know what i'm hate'n? can't take my camera out without it fogging up ~ so yeah, i've been putting it in a plastic bag so it won't ~ but i hate the time it takes for it to acclimate. i'm not a patient person :P

kitty looking oh so serious. yesterday i couldn't decide between this shot or the one i posted ~ so i'm going with this one today. what i loved about it is her eyes ~ if viewed at a larger size you'll see :)

coneflowers are blooming. and i swear this is about the only bloom that isn't sad looking ~ they are all mangled and deformed for some reason. what's up with that :(

still trying to figure out the lensbaby ~ that would be why the leaf at the top is in focus and not the flower :P
