krista > july 4 '09 another butterfly i saw yesterday. excited because i had never seen one like it in person. it drove me crazy because for the longest time it would land and not open it's wings, but finally it did and i got quite a few shots. disappointed though that it would not land on anything but the dirt or concrete edging ~ there was a pretty white butterfly bush right in this area, but no luck ~ wouldn't that have been a pretty shot.
krista > july 5 '09 all i got today, a not so good shot of a big fat bee :) i really wish i'd give more thought to my settings before i go snap'n pictures ~ i always seem to go with about the largest aperture i can for a fast enough shutter speed for a hand held shot and it just doesn't work for macro ~ blah. and you know what, i have a ring flash but not a clue what kind of settings to use with it, so it goes unused. if you can give me flash tips i'd love to hear them. eta: ok, so i'll tell ya why i'm not happy with it :) the whole bee should be in focus and maybe a little bit of the flowers.

krista > june 24 '09 another bee and coneflower shot :) i think i love the lensbaby. know what i'm hate'n? can't take my camera out without it fogging up ~ so yeah, i've been putting it in a plastic bag so it won't ~ but i hate the time it takes for it to acclimate. i'm not a patient person :P
